Westwood Announces New ShareholdersJanuary 31, 2017
Westwood is proud to announce the advancement of four associates to shareholding positions. The new shareholders were selected for their exceptional contribution to the firm.
August Christensen, PE is a senior project manager serving Westwood’s national power generation division. Leading major utility-scale solar projects with keen attention to exceptional client service and managing multi-disciplined projects has made him a valued member of the team. Christensen is based out of two offices, St. Cloud and Minneapolis, MN. He joined Westwood in 2004 and became an associate in 2016. He received a BS in Civil Engineering from North Dakota State University.
Brian Kruse, PS is a survey project manager in Westwood’s Kansas City, KS office. He has successfully led multiple survey projects for the development of utility-scale power generation and power delivery. Kruse’s dedication to quality is highly respected by his clients and team members. He is a member of Kansas City Chapter of Land Surveyors, National Society of Professional Surveyors, and currently serves as the vice president of the Kansas Society of Land Surveyors.
Joey Vossen, JD serves as Westwood’s general counsel. Vossen leads the company’s legal and regulatory compliance matters, including in areas of service agreements, acquisitions, and corporate governance. Vossen has been a trusted leader, strategic advisor, and valued team member since her hire in 2010. She received her JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and Masters in urban and regional planning.
Steve Paradise serves as Westwood’s vice president of finance. Since joining Westwood in 2014, he has led the finance and accounting function to markedly enhanced processes and improved profitability companywide. Paradise has 20 years of industry experience and received his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and Bachelor of mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
