Eric Hansen, PE, PGDirector, Environmental Services | Senior Project Manager
Eric leads Westwood's environmental services, managing environmental projects and staff for all markets. He is a company shareholder and brings 29 years of experience in regulatory permitting, site assessment, and environmental field studies to his projects. Eric’s primary focus is managing Westwood’s renewable energy and power delivery projects in numerous states. His experience includes regulatory analysis, environmental due diligence studies, field application of remediation technologies, geo-engineering design, expert testimony, site investigation, environmental remediation, wetland permitting, power line routing, and stormwater permitting.
Eric's involvement in field studies and permitting with scores of wind and solar projects throughout the U.S. has made him adept at interpreting regulatory issues in multiple jurisdictions and negotiating with various agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Eric has completed more than 1,000 Phase I-ESA studies in 18 states across the country. These power delivery projects include route selection, site assessment, public testimony and permitting.
