Longbow Business Park and Golf Course
- Stormwater Management
Located in Northeast Mesa, Longbow Business Park is a class ‘A’ commercial office park developed around a championship golf course. The project included reconfiguration of the first nine holes to increase the developable footprint for the business park, new clubhouse and driving range facility. The design and construction of a stormwater retention system for the entire business park, golf course, and new commercial collector street was also constructed to support the project.
Maintaining Existing Development Within the New
The existing golf course development was not serviced by a public sewer system with capacity to meet the anticipated sewer loading demands for the business park, so the team worked with City of Mesa staff and identified an existing public sewer main line located approximately two miles away. Our team designed a new public sewer main for the project site. Because the City’s sewer infrastructure was shallow, the team needed to work with the golf course designer to incorporate landscape berms along the sewer alignment to provide adequate depth over the new sewer main pipe.
