Eric Hansen, PE, PG
Eric leads Westwood's environmental services, managing projects and staff for all markets. He is a company shareholder and brings 32 years of experience in permitting and site assessment to his projects. Eric’s primary focus is leading renewable energy, land development, and power delivery projects in numerous states across the US. His experience includes regulatory strategies, facility permitting, natural resource and due diligence studies, geo-engineering design, expert testimony, site investigation, environmental remediation, wetland permitting, power line routing, and pipeline permitting.
Eric's involvement in field studies and permitting for thousands of wind and solar projects throughout the US has created a solid understanding of the development process and made him adept at interpreting regulatory issues in multiple jurisdictions and negotiating with various agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Eric often performs the key role of advisor in early stage project development, creating road maps for field studies and regulatory approvals. Eric has completed more than 1,000 Phase I ESA studies across the country.
