Eric Hansen, PE, PG
Eric leads Westwood's environmental services, managing environmental projects and staff for all markets. He is a company shareholder and brings 32 years of experience in permitting and site assessment to his projects. Eric’s primary focus is leading renewable energy, land development, and power delivery projects in numerous states across the U.S. His experience includes regulatory strategies, facility permitting, natural resource and due diligence studies, geo-engineering design, expert testimony, site investigation, environmental remediation, wetland permitting, power line routing, and pipeline permitting.
Eric's involvement in field studies and permitting with thousands of wind and solar projects throughout the U.S. has made him adept at interpreting regulatory issues in multiple jurisdictions and negotiating with various agencies such as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A key role is as advisor in early stage project development and creating road maps for field studies and regulatory approvals. Eric has completed more than 1,000 Phase I ESA studies across the country.
