Travis Ranch is a 2000-acre master-planned community that consists of various size single family residential lots, commercial and retail development. Travis Ranch is located within three municipal utility districts (MUD) known as Kaufman County MUD Nos. 5, 6 and 7. The districts serve as a financing mechanism to fund site infrastructure improvements and a local governing body for the residents within the districts.
Requiring a Broad Range of Services
The Travis Ranch development is a large residential development project that requires expertise in many different areas. This includes, but is not limited to, grading, paving, water, wastewater and drainage design, large diameter offsite water and wastewater design, lift station, elevated storage, ground storage, and 6-lane divided boulevard design.
Expertise in Water Districts
What also makes this project unique and highly suited for Westwood’s team of experts, is the water district component. Water districts require a specialized skill set, given their complex process for approval, financing, permitting, development, and reporting. Westwood’s experience with water districts helps streamline the process to ensure design, construction, and inspection proceed smoothly. While no project is without hurdles, Westwood brings team members with plenty of hands-on experience to solve whatever problems may arise as the projects within the water district are established and developed. Creation reports and bond application reports are also a part of the team’s services.
