Matt Morrison 2 Matt Morrison 2

Get to know our newest associates! We are excited to have them on our team and helping to lead Westwood forward. The associate designation at Westwood represents a team member who provides considerable value to the firm through their leadership traits and technical expertise.

Matt Morrison is a 2021 Westwood associate. Matt joins 25 of his colleagues being recognized for their dedication to leadership and the Westwood core values.

Matt is Westwood’s Power Delivery substation manager located in our Philadelphia office.  Matt strives to lead by example. “As an associate, you are a model of progression within the company, and how to live by Westwood’s core values. It’s important to me to demonstrate what the path to this achievement looks like,” says Matt.

To Matt, measuring success means upholding high-quality solutions and strong relationships when serving clients. “Getting to the quality product is one measure, but how you got there is equally as important. I lead by this example, and it resonates with my team.”

He continues, “Earning the trust of stakeholders is also an important measure of success. Building trust through quality service is our core focus, and in my role, I can help influence that. I put a lot of effort into developing that culture within my team and it has proven to be integral in our success.

To Matt, being a life-long learner who isn’t afraid to ask questions is the advice he has for people early in their careers. “Don’t be afraid to seek advice. Being a mentee over my career has helped me get to where I am today,” says Matt. “It is a great way to get one-on-one guidance on your career goals and aspirations. I highly recommend it.”

A fun fact about Matt is that he served as a patrol officer from 2006-2012. He credits his leadership skills to this experience and says it made him who he is today. “It taught me to be a strong leader, to think on my feet, and to communicate clearly in all types of situations,” says Matt.

Thank you, Matt, for your contributions to Westwood! We are lucky to have you on the team.
