Meet New Westwood Associate Waldy Coronado
Get to know our newest associates! We are excited to have them on our team and helping to lead Westwood forward. The associate designation at Westwood represents a team member who provides considerable value to the firm through their leadership traits and technical expertise.
Waldy is motivated to continue pursuing her goals at Westwood because she feels they are aligned with the direction of the company. For Waldy, becoming an associate is a testament to her dedication, and she sees her new associate title as a chance to help her peers achieve their goals as well.
“Being an associate allows me to continue mentoring and inspiring my peers to set and achieve their goals,” explains Waldy. She continues, “it also allows me to continue to demonstrate the level of responsibility and attention that I dedicate to my assignments, the honesty and empathy with which I interact with our clients and my peers, the tenacity that I implement to solve problems, and the self-discipline to achieve my goals.”
Westwood’s core values are an integral part of Waldy’s work, and she finds herself strongly aligned with them. “Representing the company culture has been part of my daily tasks, not because it relates to my job, but because it aligns with my values. The associate position is the perfect platform to motivate my peers to experience and embrace Westwood’s culture,” says Waldy.
Another large part of being recognized as an associate is representing company culture and promoting it throughout the organization. Waldy believes in building trust with clients as the key to representing company culture externally.
“I demonstrate my commitment to Westwood’s core values by developing a level of trust with our clients that allows them to recognize Westwood for our work. They appreciate the relationship that is built during the process of achieving success and quality at the end of the project,” she explains.
The challenges in the engineering industry motivate Waldy, and she loves to see her hard work turn into real-world solutions. She says, “Engineering requires innovation and creativity, and Westwood is committed to both by having a diverse group of engineers who provide an interesting mix of ideas and ways of approaching and resolving challenges.
She continues, “It motivates me to see that my technical knowledge and daily collaboration with my team contributes to the development of our community.”
Waldy defines her success in her career by the influence she has on others around her. She states, “Success to me is defined by the positive impact that my actions and achievements have on the people and community that surrounds me.”
Thank you, Waldy, for your dedication to Westwood and your positive impacts on the communities you work in. We are proud to have you on our team!
