Transcript:

My name is Kimberly Lueck. I'm currently the director of business administration for the Land Division, and I work out of the Dallas, Texas office.

The core value that speaks most to me is initiative. When I started at Westwood, I was a front desk intern, and now I’ve become the director of business administration for the Land Division. And I feel like the reason I became an associate is because of the initiative I took in each position I held at Westwood which really progressed me in my career.

I think an important defining moment in my career was really when I found my voice and realized that I had an expertise and a confidence that I could share to others. In meetings where I used to take a backseat approach and just show up, I'm now an active participant, leading meetings and guiding people to different answers that they didn't have before.

I am known around the office for probably being the know-it-all. Honestly, I'm the person that everybody goes to when they don't know where else to go: “Kim, where's this?” “Who do I go to for this?” “Where do I find this?” And it's been a really fun way to get to know multiple people across different offices.

Being an associate, to me, means I can get back to a company that's always been there for me. Ever since I started at Westwood, Westwood has taken care of me. I've never really been a title person, but being an associate really helps me continue to give and succeed at the same time.
