The Geodesist is responsible for developing and maintaining survey control standards, control plans, and layouts for

aerial mapping projects of all sizes, and for developing scope and fee for applicable work and overseeing its execution.

This role processes GNSS control networks in Trimble Business Center, applying extremely detailed knowledge of

coordinate systems, datums, and projections along with Static, RTK, and VRS collection methods to ensure geodetic

accuracy and consistency across project deliverables. This is a technical role that requires strong theoretical knowledge

in addition to practical experience. Based within the Remote Sensing department, the Geodesist works closely with

Westwood's Survey department, Project Leads, and field crews to establish, plan, and report project control that

The Power Distribution Engineering Technician (Field Support) will be responsible for conducting field inspections and staking requests while, at times, performing assignments associated with the design and engineering of overhead and underground facilities of various voltage levels. The Lead Power Distribution Engineer will be a part of the electric distribution design team and will be responsible for leading teams that are designing multiple projects ranging from small “quick turn-around” to large complex distribution lines. As a Lead Engineer you will guide younger engineers in the application of NESC, NEC, ASCE and other standards of engineering design and will conduct the reviews of, plans and specifications, material lists, and construction documents. This role will serve to interface between the Distribution Engineering group and other stakeholders such as project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management.

The Senior Distribution Engineer is primarily responsible for the cost-effective conceptual and engineering solutions to upgrade, expand, maintain, and automate overhead and underground power distribution systems for our clients using various software systems and engineering/construction standards. The Senior Distribution Engineer ensures compliance with client procedures, design standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and safety code requirements. The Senior Distribution Engineer will act as a mentor to less experienced engineers on their team and, at times, will work closely with engineers performing substation, transmission, renewable energy, power storage, and communication design.
