• Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D• Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues• Preparation of entitlement documents in support of Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.• Calculation of quantities using Microsoft Excel and justification letters using Microsoft Word• Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans; plan and profiles; construction details; storm drain, water and sewer facilities; signage and striping plans

Work as a key member of a drainage design team under the direction of a Project Engineer/Project Manager. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Prepare Work Zone Traffic Control Plans. Inspect and Evaluate Drainage Structures, Roadbeds, and Bridges to support Road Use Agreements. Inspect Intelligent Transportation System installations.  Prepare calculations and analyses for Site Development Traffic Impact Analyses (SDTIA). Prepare Traffic Signal Design Plans. Prepare Signing and Pavement Marking Plans. Assist with Corridor Traffic Signal Retiming Plans. Prepare calculations and analyses for Renewable (Wind/Solar/Battery Storage) Traffic Impact Analyses (RTIA). Complete field work associated with tasks identified in the job summary.

• Work closely with construction teams to ensure that work has been completed or is completed in accordance with engineering details, specifications, and permits
• Review construction documents and conditions in the field for conformance with engineering specifications and discuss discrepancies with the project team
• Utilize iPads to collect data via a cloud-based data collection platform
• Support data processing and reporting associated with project field work
• Utilize advanced GPS equipment to locate and map objects and utilities in the field
• Perform periodic inspection of equipment and components and review contractor or manufacture inspection documentation
• Potential to pivot to an office based civil design role following the completion of construction projects

• Manages land development civil engineering projects efficiently (meets schedules and budgets)
• Leads land development civil teams to produce civil plan sets.
• Coordinates with Owner/Architect and outside team members to execute projects.
• Effectively manages internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, etc.) – able to communicate/manage technical details as well as schedules and budgets.
• Implements QA/QC program and ensures compliance within project team.
• Works with City/County staff for approval of project plans.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and allocate resources through differing project stages.
• Administers the construction services portions of projects including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, etc.
• Effectively manages up to five (5) assigned technical personnel including:
  • Assigns and oversees project assignments;
  • Reviews work for accuracy and completeness;
  • Trains staff and promotes professional development;
  • Maintains job satisfaction and morale;
  • Assists with performance evaluations; and
  • Recommends compensation adjustments and/or promotions.
