The Principal Distribution Engineer will act as a mentor to less experienced engineers on their team and, at times, will work closely with engineers performing substation, transmission, renewable energy, power storage, and communication design. The Director, Substations is responsible for the execution performance and operational discipline of the Substation business unit. This role is accountable for portfolio delivery, utilization rates, backlog conversion, and forecast accuracy.

The Director ensures consistent execution standards across offices and teams, drives operational efficiency, and protects profitability through disciplined project oversight and risk management.

The Substation Lead Engineer - Physical will be part of an electric substation design team and will be responsible for the engineering and design of multiple projects ranging from small “quick turn-around” to large complex substations. This position provides the opportunity to directly apply your knowledge of engineering to design projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV. 

As a Substation Engineer - Physical, you will apply NESC, NEC, ASCE and other applicable standards in engineering design and will independently perform engineering analyses, plans and specifications, as well as material procurement and construction documents.
