Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues
Preparation of entitlement documents in support of Tentative Maps, Vacations, Zone Changes, Entitlements, etc.
Calculation of quantities using Microsoft Excel and justification letters using Microsoft Word
Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D including grading plans; plan and profiles; construction details; storm drain, water and sewer facilities; signage and striping plan
Performs all aspects of design for medium voltage (typically 35 kV) including the following:
Calculations and Analysis
Underground cable thermal analysis
Electrical loss analysis of conductors and transformers
Short circuit analysis
Effective grounding calculations
Electrical grounding for safety (touch and step potential)
Fiber optic loss calculations
Load flow and reactive power analysis

Performs all aspects of design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) and EHV (above 230kV) substation projects to include: -One-line diagrams -Three-line diagrams -Potential and current schematics -Control schematics -Alarm schematics -Communications schematics -Wiring Diagrams -Protection and control specifications -I/O mapping -Documentation for Design Calculations -Construction Documentation (Sequence and RFP) -Technical Support -Procurement and Construction Coordination -Ability to work seamlessly with a P&C Designer to develop the above-listed schematics as well as the associated wiring diagrams. -Ability to coordinate efforts with other external and internal project team members, with familiarity in identifying when coordination is needed with certain design disciplines such as transmission line engineers, distribution line engineers, telecom engineers, etc.
