Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Protection and Control Engineer to join our Renewables Substation team. The primary function of this role is to lead the Substation P&C Engineering and Design efforts for large scale, transmission-interconnected renewable energy projects. The P&C Engineer will work with (and provide direction to) other engineers, designers, and drafters to develop project deliverables that satisfy all stakeholder requirements and comply with applicable codes & standards. As part of the broader multi-discipline Substation Team, the P&C Engineer will work with the Substation Project Engineer and other discipline leads to ensure design documents are coordinated and consistent between the Physical, Civil/Structural, Relay Settings, and SCADA teams. 

The CAD Technician supports the Digital Delivery team by providing day-to-day technical assistance to production staff across multiple disciplines. This role is responsible for CAD troubleshooting, standards guidance, and support-data maintenance, with the goal of ensuring a stable, consistent, and efficient CAD production environment across the organization.

Working closely with CAD leadership, CAD managers, and project teams, the CAD Technician plays a key role in supporting company growth by improving support responsiveness, production consistency, and standards adoption. The Senior Engineer – Physical, Substation is an experienced technical leader within the electric substation design team, responsible for the end-to-end engineering and design of projects ranging from small, quick-turnaround assignments to large, complex substations spanning 12kV to 500kV. This role independently applies NESC, NEC, ASCE, IEEE, and other applicable standards to lead engineering analyses, plans and specifications, material procurement, and construction documentation with a high degree of technical authority and ownership.

With five or more years of specialized experience in substation physical design, the Senior Engineer serves as the primary technical point of contact for clients, leads quality control across project deliverables, and provides direct mentorship and technical direction to engineering staff. This role also contributes to scope development, proposal support, and continuous improvement of design standards and practices across the Substation Engineering group.
