The Vice President, Water will lead Westwood’s Water market sector, overseeing water/wastewater infrastructure services such as: wastewater treatment, water resources, stormwater, and other related public infrastructure services. This role will guide market strategy, financial performance, project delivery, and team development across water-focused disciplines. The Vice President is responsible for growing Westwood’s footprint in municipal water/wastewater utilities, flood control, drainage infrastructure, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and treatment facility design. The role emphasizes client satisfaction, technical excellence, and strategic expansion aligned with the Public Infrastructure Division. 


 

Strategic & Market Leadership

  • Define and implement the strategic plan for the Water sector, including market expansion, service-line growth, and revenue targets.
  • Monitor regulatory requirements (EPA, state environmental agencies, FEMA, etc.), emerging technologies, and funding mechanisms to inform growth strategies.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities in municipal utilities, water districts, flood control authorities, and regional water agencies.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Lead financial management of the Water sector, including P&L oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Ensure efficient operations and high-quality project execution across water resources, wastewater, stormwater, and treatment design teams.
  • Implement and promote consistent processes, quality systems, and safety practices.

Business Development & Client Management

  • Drive business development initiatives, including proposal leadership, capture planning, and positioning for major water infrastructure programs.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with public utilities, water districts, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Represent Westwood in water-related industry associations and forums.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of project managers, technical specialists, and discipline leads across water-focused engineering fields.
  • Support recruitment, training, mentorship, performance management, and staff retention.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the Water practice.

Collaboration & Enterprise Alignment

  • Collaborate with Transportation, Energy, Land Development, and Corporate Services to leverage synergies and pursue integrated opportunities.

The Vice President, Transportation will lead Westwood’s Transportation market sector, overseeing the following sub-markets: aviation, bridges, roadway, traffic engineering, bus & bus rapid transit, rail (freight, commuter) , tunnel design, and other related public infrastructure services. This leader will guide market strategy, financial performance, project delivery, and team development across transportation-focused disciplines. The Vice President, Transportation will manage key client relationships, follow major pursuits, and guide staff development while ensuring Westwood values are met. The role emphasizes client satisfaction, technical excellence, and strategic expansion aligned with the Public Infrastructure Division.


Strategic & Market Leadership

  • Develop and execute transportation business strategies aligned with the broader Public Infrastructure Division.
  • Identify emerging markets, funding opportunities, and regulatory trends impacting transportation programs.
  • Expand service offerings and geographic reach in collaboration with Division and Corporate leadership.

Operational & Financial Management

  • Manage P&L for the Transportation sector, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, risk mitigation, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Implement operational best practices, workflow efficiencies, and resource optimization across teams.

Business Development & Client Management

  • Lead major pursuit strategies, proposal development, and capture planning for key transportation clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DOTs, municipalities, counties, and federal agencies.
