The GIS Specialist position will play a crucial role in our team, supporting our renewable energy projects with their technical expertise and innovative approaches to GIS. The Substation Designer would work with our growing Substation Engineering Team to prepare schematic and associated wiring diagrams for high voltage utility substations projects and renewable energy interconnections. The position would require the employee to work with engineers and consultants to create these drawings. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Computer aided design and drafting of all engineering products and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other drafters to correct discrepancies in drawings and designs.

The Substation P&C Engineer serves as an engineer on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects. He/she will apply NESC, NEC, and other applicable codes and standards in the engineering design and will also independently produce: one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, potential and current schematics, control schematics, alarm schematics, protection and control specifications, and I/O mapping. He/she should be familiar with protection scheme functionality. The ability to develop relay settings and associated points mapping is not required but preferred. He/she will also work with other internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and expectations of contracted services are met.
