The GIS Specialist position will play a crucial role in our team, supporting our renewable energy projects with their technical expertise and innovative approaches to GIS. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Spatial Analysis & Cartography: Create, manage, and analyze, and display spatial data using GIS software.
• Data Interpretation & Management: Independently interpret data while maintaining comprehensive documentation. Manage and update existing GIS datasets, ensuring their relevance and accuracy.
• Process Innovation: Proactively challenge and improve existing processes, developing more efficient methodologies.
• GIS Analysis & Product Development: Perform complex GIS analyses using the ArcGIS Platform, creating mapping products that meet project requirements.

The Graduate Level Transmission Engineer is primarily responsible for the cost-effective conceptual and engineering solutions to upgrade, expand, maintain, and automate overhead and underground power transmission lines for our clients using various software systems and engineering/construction standards. Individuals in this role ensure compliance with client procedures, design standards, state and federal regulatory requirements, and safety code requirements. The Graduate Engineer will execute projects under the lead of a Lead Engineer and will work closely with engineers performing substation, distribution, transmission, renewable energy, power storage, and communication designs. Substation Designer – P&C

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a collaborative, detail orientated Substation Designer (CAD Technician) to join a growing energy consulting firm. The Substation Designer would work with our growing Substation Engineering Team to prepare schematic and associated wiring diagrams for high voltage utility substations projects and renewable energy interconnections. The position would require the employee to work with engineers and consultants to create these drawings. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Computer aided design and drafting of all engineering products and deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineers and other drafters to correct discrepancies in drawings and designs.

The Substation P&C Engineer serves as an engineer on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects. He/she will apply NESC, NEC, and other applicable codes and standards in the engineering design and will also independently produce: one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, potential and current schematics, control schematics, alarm schematics, protection and control specifications, and I/O mapping. He/she should be familiar with protection scheme functionality. The ability to develop relay settings and associated points mapping is not required but preferred. He/she will also work with other internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and expectations of contracted services are met. • Ability to coordinate efforts with all project team members by identifying coordination needs within specific disciplines (i.e., protection and control design engineers, transmission line engineers, distribution line engineers, telecom engineers, etc.)
