Marketing Support

• Owns and manages the company-wide digital asset management system (OpenAsset), including organization, tagging, uploads, and standards.
• Supports the organization, maintenance, and data integrity of other marketing platforms (HubSpot, Semrush, Profound, and related applications).
• Helps research and implement AI tools and emerging technologies that improve teamwork.
• Provides basic SEO and keyword research to support website, content, and social media optimization.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Technician to join our renewables team in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position will be responsible for designing elements of utility-scale solar energy systems, primarily using AutoCAD. You'll be utilizing AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs. Including site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, one lines, details, equipment/wire schedules, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Construction document production support for commercial and utility scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects.
• Coordinate with design team disciplines including civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors
• Utilize AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs. Construction documents will include site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, one lines, details, equipment/wire schedules, etc.
• Create wiring/cable schedules based takeoffs and sizing input from senior designers/engineers
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of Westwood design/CAD standards

This role is primarily responsible for supervising a staff of technical designers and engineers responsible for the development of engineering designs, cost estimates, and communication of technical and design information to our customers. The supervisor manages and evaluates the performance of assigned technical staff and proactively initiates measures to correct instances of work product not meeting established quality standards. The role ensures compliance with client procedures, design standards, state and federal regulatory requirements, and safety code requirements and, at times, will collaborate closely with engineers performing substation, transmission, renewable energy, power storage, and communication design.

The CAD Technician supports the Digital Delivery team by providing day-to-day technical assistance to production staff across multiple disciplines. This role is responsible for CAD troubleshooting, standards guidance, and support-data maintenance, with the goal of ensuring a stable, consistent, and efficient CAD production environment across the organization.

Working closely with CAD leadership, CAD managers, and project teams, the CAD Technician plays a key role in supporting company growth by improving support responsiveness, production consistency, and standards adoption.
