  • Performs all aspects of design for medium voltage (typically 35 kV) including the following:
    • Calculations and Analysis
      • Underground cable thermal analysis
      • Electrical loss analysis of conductors and transformers
      • Short circuit analysis
      • Effective grounding calculations
      • Electrical grounding for safety (touch and step potential)
      • Fiber optic loss calculations
      • Load flow and reactive power analysis
      • Harmonics analysis
      • Arc flash analysis
      • Review of utility scale renewable energy project interconnection requirements
    • Technical Documentation
      • Development of technical specifications for Balance of Plant equipment
      • Development of bills of materials for electrical installations
      • Development of installation instructions and construction drawing details
    • Coordination with Other Disciplines
      • Ability to work closely with internal and external civil engineering, structural, geotechnical, and environmental staff to produce a well coordinated and constructable design.
    • Other Expectations
