Frequent travel (2 or 3 nights at a time) within the United States should be expected with some potential for long term travel which could last for a few weeks. The role emphasizes risk reduction, constructability, and field-based judgment, with responsibility spanning NPDES construction stormwater permitting, SWPPP implementation, BMP performance, soil management, reclamation, and final stabilization. The Specialist will bridge the gap between design intent, permit requirements, active construction, and post-construction land use, including agricultural reuse and site reclamation. Electrical Project Engineer

The position is for an electrical engineer to design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, which includes plant layout, selecting appropriate system hardware, system optimization, determining power generation and interconnection requirements, and being a leader portions of the electrical engineering of projects. As an Electrical Project Engineer the individual will coordinate with the Project Lead, and Senior Engineers, to maintain firm standards and consistency as well as oversee junior engineers, electrical designers, and drafters on the project. This position may also include supervision responsibilities of an intern and/or new grad for timesheet/expense/PTO approval, annual growth planning, and disciplinary actions

Civil Staff Engineer

Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. In this role, you will perform activities related to the site design of utility-scale solar projects. This work involves aiding in the design of civil infrastructure such as access roads and work pads. Along with the civil design, other work activities include permitting support and occasional field work. We are seeking an Engineer who shares our passion for high-quality production, client commitment, and a fast-paced work environment. This position will serve as a member of an integrated design team and be responsible for compiling civil design plan sets alongside other disciplines to meet project schedules and budgets, where clear and concise written and verbal communication is imperative.
