Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Structural CAD Tech to join our team. As a CAD Technician, you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures with a strong attention to detail to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The CAD technician will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. 

 Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings (details and plan sets) for engineering projects.
• Apply Westwood Company CAD standards, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and other drafters in a team environment.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
  Typical drafting will consist of:
  • Foundation Layout Plans
  • Structural Specifications and Notes
  • Steel Structure Fabrication Drawings
  • Steel Connection Details
  • Concrete Foundation Detail Drawings
  • Concrete Anchorage Details
  • Importation of tables and calculations such as BOMs to be applied to each drawing.
• Understand & meet project schedule, and quality requirements with accuracy and efficiency.
• Self-checks all work performed to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to internal review.
• Actively assist in the delivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mail correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completion.
• Provide interdepartmental support (Civil, Electrical, Substation, T&D, etc.) as required.
