The Senior Remote Sensing Technician is responsible for post-processing aerial data to final deliverables supporting multiple markets and users. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all deliverables created from LiDAR and imagery data from both manned and unmanned aircraft, troubleshooting technical issues, and conducting quality control checks. The Senior Remote Sensing Technician will work closely with Remote Sensing Project Leads and other stakeholders to support the successful execution of projects.

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Substation System Protection Engineer to join our team. The System Protection Engineer works on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects. He/she will apply their engineering knowledge and experience to fulfill the principal duties and responsibilities listed below. He/she will also work with other internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and expectations of contracted services are met. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

The Senior Substation Engineer – Protection and Controls will be part of an electric substation design team and will be responsible for the engineering and design of multiple projects ranging from small, fast-paced assignments to large, complex substations. This position provides the opportunity to directly apply advanced engineering knowledge to protection and control system designs for facilities ranging from 12kV to 500kV.

As a Senior Substation Engineer – P&C, you will apply NESC, NEC, IEEE, and other applicable standards in engineering design and independently develop protection and control schemes, including relay logic, system coordination concepts, and detailed design deliverables such as schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic documentation. You will also support equipment specification, material procurement, and development of construction documentation, ensuring designs are reliable, compliant, and aligned with project and client requirements.

The Lead Substation Engineer - P&C serves as an engineer on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects. He/she will apply NESC, NEC, and other applicable codes and standards in the engineering design and will also independently produce: one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, potential and current schematics, control schematics, alarm schematics, protection and control specifications, and I/O mapping.

He/she should be familiar with protection scheme functionality. However, ability to develop relay settings and associated points mapping is not required but preferred. He/she will also work with other internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and expectations of contracted services are met.

The Substation Lead Engineer - Physical will be part of an electric substation design team and will be responsible for the engineering and design of multiple projects ranging from small “quick turn-around” to large complex substations. This position provides the opportunity to directly apply your knowledge of engineering to design projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV.

As a Substation Engineer - Physical, you will apply NESC, NEC, ASCE and other applicable standards in engineering design and will independently perform engineering analyses, plans and specifications, as well as material procurement and construction documents.

Civil Staff Engineer

In this role, you will perform activities related to the site design of utility-scale solar projects. This work involves aiding in the design of civil infrastructure such as access roads and work pads. Along with the civil design, other work activities include permitting support and occasional field work. We are seeking an Engineer who shares our passion for high-quality production, client commitment, and a fast-paced work environment. This position will serve as a member of an integrated design team and be responsible for compiling civil design plan sets alongside other disciplines to meet project schedules and budgets, where clear and concise written and verbal communication is imperative.
