Dean J. Palumbo, PS
Dean is the Chief Operating Officer at Westwood, where he oversees company-wide operations with a focus on driving strategic growth across the firm’s divisions. With more than 37 years of leadership experience in the architecture, engineering, and consulting industries, Dean brings a legacy of innovation, strategic thinking, and people-centered leadership to Westwood’s executive team.
Prior to joining Westwood, Dean served as President of Government Solutions at Witt O’Brien’s | Ambipar Response, leading national efforts in emergency management, disaster recovery, Grant writing and management, and community resilience. Before that, he was Senior Vice President at Stantec, responsible for Western US operations and Business Development. Dean was the Principal-in-Charge on such high-profile projects as the University of Texas at Austin Enabling Program and the Moody Arena Project, the California High Speed Rail, and the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation program. As a member of Stantec’s executive business development committee, he also played a pivotal role in strategic planning and organizational advancement.
