Nate Viste, PE
With over 10 years of service at Westwood and over 15 years of renewable energy experience, Nate has a deep understanding of the unique challenges that come with constructing solar and storage projects. He brings his technical expertise and innovative approach to client partnerships to promote value engineering in the development and design of utility scale solar and storage projects. As Senior Director of Solar, Nate leads a dynamic team of project management professionals that provide key design services to clients including the main pillars of civil, electrical, and structural design of a facility and interconnection to the grid.
His experience spans solar, energy storage, and wind projects across the continental U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and Japan. He has managed the engineering and design of complex developments ranging from 50 to 500 MW solar farms and 400+ MW wind farms, as well as high-capacity energy storage systems. Nate specializes in constructability-focused site design, stormwater management, hydrologic modeling, and infrastructure engineering. His EPC background and holistic project perspective allow him to prioritize long-term performance starting conceptual design.
Since joining Westwood in 2015, Nate has become a trusted partner to clients navigating evolving energy markets. His strategic leadership and technical insight continue to advance Westwood’s role in shaping the future of the solar and storage industries.
