Precision Modeling of a 5,000 Mile Grid

Addressing MEC’s complex transmission network challenges, we surveyed and modeled ~4,946 circuit miles (34.5-345kV). Our team used helicopter-based LiDAR, rigorous ground truthing (<0.5ft accuracy), and detailed PLS-CADD modeling of all circuits, including Method 4 structures. We delivered precise as-built data, clearance analyses, and pole replacement packages, providing MEC with a robust foundation for future engineering and maintenance.
