2025 Year in Review
As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect on a year of growth, impact, and continued commitment to our clients, communities, and team. Our focus on relationships, innovation, and excellence has fueled progress and positioned us well for the year ahead.
Our Growth
This year, we welcomed 32 new shareholders and 42 new associates, recognized for their unwavering commitment to growth and client service. Over the summer, more than 150 interns from over 60 universities joined us across 27 locations. Finally, we completed the transition of Balzer & Associates and successfully acquired CSRS, marking our entry into program management and launching our capabilities in architecture and structural building services.
Our Culture
Giving back remained a central part of our year. We supported more than 200 organizations through monetary contributions and volunteer efforts. Our 2nd annual Giving Back Week brought teams together for donation drives and service projects, reinforcing our commitment to the communities we serve. We continue to support impactful initiatives, including Toys for Tots, the Red Cross, and Feed My Starving Children, among many others.
Our Work
We strive to deliver consistent, reliable, and comprehensive support to our clients. Our outstanding work has ultimately led us to take on larger and more complex projects, explore new markets, and expand our expertise and service offerings. We are very proud of our team's dedication and talent, whose efforts have played a key role in our success. Join us in looking back at some key projects and client relationships that demonstrate our commitment to excellence.
Neighborhood 5B & Oakland Drainage Improvements
Denton, TX
Denton’s Neighborhood 5B and Oakland Drainage Improvements project is delivering major upgrades to an area long affected by flooding near the TWU campus. The work modernizes streets and utilities, improves mobility and safety, and strengthens watershed performance with new detention and culvert improvements. Delivered through the CMAR model, the project highlights Westwood’s expertise in complex municipal design and integrated infrastructure solutions.
Services Provided
- Roadway & Drainage Design
- Regional Detention & Culvert Improvements
- Water & Wastewater Replacement
- Pedestrian & Lighting Upgrades
- Utility Coordination & Environmental Clearance
- Traffic Control Planning & CMAR-Based Constructability Reviews
Challenges & Solutions
Property acquisition needs, a sewer line inside an existing culvert, limited access near TWU, and significant utility conflicts made this a complex project to navigate. Early grading refinements for landowner negotiations, a lift station to reroute the sewer line, detailed access sequencing, and CMAR-driven collaboration streamlined utility coordination and environmental clearance.
KB Home - The Meriden Community
Henderson, NV
KB Home’s Meriden community is a large master-planned residential development in the heart of Henderson, delivering 940 homes across a mix of single family and townhome products. The project transforms a long-vacant infill site into a walkable neighborhood with open space and community amenities, while supporting ongoing housing demand in the Las Vegas Valley and reinforcing KB Home’s focus on energy-efficient, customizable homes.
Services Provided
- Land Planning and Site Design
- Transportation Engineering and Off-Site Improvements
- Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Planning
- Utility Coordination and Agency Permitting
- Phased Development Support
Challenges & Solutions
Meriden’s size, infill location, and phased delivery created challenges related to groundwater conditions, utility extensions, and extensive off-site infrastructure improvements. Westwood addressed these complexities through proactive coordination with the City of Henderson, careful phasing and sequencing, and the use of customized Civil 3D tools to produce efficient, well-coordinated designs. This approach supported accelerated reviews, resulting in construction permits being secured in record time.

Valued Client Relationship in Renewable Energy
Triple Oak Power
Co-founded in 2020 by Jesse Gronner, Triple Oak Power (TOP) is rooted in decades of utility-scale energy development from prior employment at PacifiCorp Power Marketing, Iberdrola, and Avangrid, including experience within an independent power producer (IPP) environment. As energy markets recently shifted due to accelerating data center-driven load growth, grid constraints, and changing federal incentives, TOP is evolving from a wind-focused developer into a diversified platform delivering wind, solar, battery storage, and natural gas generation. This integrated model supports firm, reliable, and cost-effective clean power through a scalable powered land strategy.
Our team’s capabilities align naturally with this evolution. Our legacy strength in land and surveying, combined with expertise in renewable energy and power delivery, enables us to support TOP from early site identification and due diligence through infrastructure planning. Our partnership with Triple Oak Power is reinforced by decades-long relationships, including our VP, Renewables, Blair Loftis’ shared employment history with Jesse Gronner and his close, more than twenty-year personal connection with TOP’s VP of Engineering, James Tervo, as well as our SVP, Renewables, Dan Beckmann’s support of TOP’s VP of Development, Charlie Karustis’s wind farm due diligence in California.
Services Provided
- Land Surveying
- Site Due Diligence
- Renewable Energy and Power Advisory
- Infrastructure Planning and Support
Looking Ahead
As TOP expands large-scale powered land developments to meet accelerating data center demand, Westwood is positioned to scale alongside them by advancing multi-technology generation projects that prioritize speed to market, reliability, and long-term control of power assets.
