Matthew Sharockman

Matthew is the Director of Finance at Westwood, where he leads the company’s Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury functions. In this role, he oversees critical financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and treasury management.

A results-driven finance professional, Matthew brings extensive experience in FP&A, cash management, financial modeling, project management, and both sell-side and buy-side M&A. His background spans private equity-backed and Fortune 50 publicly traded companies, giving him a broad perspective on financial operations in fast-paced environments. At Westwood, he has leveraged this diverse experience to develop the FP&A function, strengthen processes, cultivate relationships, and build scalable budgeting and forecasting frameworks that evolve with the business and its frequent acquisitions.

Prior to joining Westwood in 2023, Matthew held key finance roles at Uber Freight, Transplace, and Johnson & Johnson. He is known for his ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity and for using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive organizational success.

Matthew is currently pursuing his Executive MBA at SMU’s Cox School of Business.
