Meet New Westwood Associate Matt Key

Get to know our newest associates! We are excited to have them on our team and helping to lead Westwood forward. The associate designation at Westwood represents a team member who provides considerable value to the firm through their leadership traits and technical expertise.

Matt Key is a 2021 Westwood associate. He joins 25 of his colleagues in earning the distinction given to employees who dedicate themselves to Westwood’s future.

Matt is a land residential project manager based out of Westwood’s Las Vegas location. Matt makes sure to show his commitment to Westwood’s core values organically. “Commitment to Westwood’s core values can be demonstrated simply in daily interactions with co-workers and clients. If you embody the core values, they can be seen better by others,” says Matt.

Being able to have a tangible impact on the community motivates Matt in his role with Westwood. He says, “knowing that the work we do is helping shape our community and seeing those past projects after completion gives me a sense of accomplishment.”

Being an associate for Westwood is a call to leadership as Westwood continues to grow. Matt says being versatile will allow him and his team to continue leading Westwood forward, as it has for him in the past. “When called upon to branch out and support the commercial market, our team welcomed the challenge. As a result, our team has developed the skills needed to manage any complicated project that comes our way,” says Matt.

He continues, “Understanding that our industry relationships are the key to our success, our team has consistently proved credibility with our clients and garnered the confidence of key agency individuals.”

Matt offers his advice to people early in their careers, saying “Embrace change. Without it, you can’t grow. Keep in mind that challenges are the building blocks of knowledge and the foundation of the rest of your career.”

Congratulations, Matt, and thank you for all you do at Westwood! We are lucky to have you on the team.
