Meet Westwood Shareholder Jack Hays
Get to know our newest shareholders and associates over the coming weeks. We're excited to have them on our team and helping to lead Westwood forward.
Jack Hays is honored to have become a Westwood shareholder, and he excited to do his part in helping shape the trajectory of the company. “Every day I’m reminded of the smart, kind, thoughtful, and helpful people I work with,” shares Jack. “It’s an incredible feeling to know you’re supported, and that I can provide support to others.”
Jack started out on the small Westwood Renewables team, a company part-owned by Westwood. He reminisces that it was tough work to build their reputation but a lot of fun, and he gained many great friendships. Westwood Renewables later fully joined Westwood to support the growing solar market and electrical engineering service.
In 2015, Jack moved to Westwood’s Dallas-Fort Worth, TX office, where the solar team presence was just budding. Says Jack, “That change forced me to work differently, expanding the network of people I worked with around the offices, changing my methods and frequency of communication, and taking on new and different projects.”
Jack’s work has taken him to many places; perhaps most memorable to him was the day he worked on IV-curve tests while sipping on a date milkshake outside of Joshua Tree National Park in 100-degree heat. “Not a bad place to get some work done!”
