New Hire and Promotion Celebration
Westwood is eager to celebrate a recent new hire and promotion in our San Antonio office.
Mary Jane Philips, PE
We are thrilled to welcome Mary Jane Phillips, PE, as the Director of Westwood’s Single Family Market in San Antonio. Mary Jane is eager to pursue growth opportunities in the local market to support Westwood’s market share expansion. She says, “I’m excited to further my professional career and look forward to collaborating with the talented local and regional leaders to meet our goals.”
Mary Jane brings experience in land development, project performance oversight, team development, business development, and strategic planning. She received her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also holds her PE licensure in Texas.
Mary Jane will work alongside Garth Coursen, Director, Land Division, San Antonio. Garth says, “Mary Jane is a well-known and highly respected professional in the San Antonio market. We are thrilled to have her join the Westwood team. We look forward to the energy she will bring!”

Ethan Oelke, RPLS
Westwood is also pleased to announce the promotion of Ethan Oelke, RPLS, on our San Antonio team. Ethan now serves as San Antonio’s Survey Service Leader. In his new role, Ethan will help manage the operations of the San Antonio land surveying team while contributing to project management, mentorship, and marketing.
Ethan says, "I look forward to this new opportunity and what is yet to come! It is an honor to lead our experienced survey team and help the San Antonio office continue to grow."
Jason Gabriel, RLPS, Regional Survey Service Leader, says, “Since joining Westwood in 2020, Ethan's eagerness to learn and passion to carve his own path for the greater good of the team has not gone unnoticed. We are excited to see what the future holds for Ethan.”
