Minneapolis Private Development Team Completes The Bower Apartments
Westwood’s Minneapolis private development team is celebrating the completion of The Bower apartments in Edina, Minnesota. The project, which began in 2018, is an 18-story luxury high-rise featuring 185 units along Edina’s Promenade. The complex replaces the old Guitar Center site and is part of Edina’s redevelopment zone.
Westwood’s team completed the civil and site design and various surveying services, including the ALTA survey, topographic survey, and construction staking.
The apartment’s central location is one of its selling features. Being located along the Edina Promenade puts residents within walking distance to many restaurants, the Southdale Mall, and the upscale Galleria Mall. The spot perfectly culminates the City’s vision of live, work, and play.
This location also proved to be one of the challenges for the build. Building site constraints made loading and deliveries complex along with limiting surface and service parking. Westwood’s team was up for the challenge, successfully fitting in all civil and stormwater management needs accordingly.
