Meet One of Westwood’s 2020 Top Mentors, Scott Hagadorn

Each year, Westwood’s company awards acknowledge the contributions of top project managers, mentors, client champions, and culture ambassadors. Scott Hagadorn, PE, PMP is one of our award winners. Find out why Scott is dedicated to mentoring employees and building strong relationships.

Top mentor, Scott Hagadorn, PE, PMP, joined the Westwood team in 2019 as a power delivery engineering manager for the Rochester, New York office. In addition to overseeing power delivery projects, Scott was tasked with building out our Rochester office. Scott helped grow the office to 12 employees and counting. He has made a commitment to empower employees and prepare the team to handle any client challenge.

“The thing I pride most about my work is mentoring and growing employees,” says Scott. “There is no substitute for endowing young employees with real-world design experience in our industry.”  He considers the investment in people the most important resource he can provide for the continued success of Westwood.

Scott also prides himself on the strong client relationships he builds. “The outcome of an entire project can hinge on the strength of your relationship with a client,” states Scott. He considers the building and maintaining of client relationships vital. It can take years and lots of hard work to build genuine relationships. For Scott, it is about providing first-class service to solve the most difficult of problems every time.
